This Week’s Features!

SO sorry for the late post everyone! My daughter had to be taken to the emergency room for a gallbladder attack. I had a gangrenous gallbladder before mine was removed (almost died) so I was taking NO chances with her symptoms. Sure enough, mom was right. Gallbladder. She’s still my baby, even at 19 (let’s pretend I had her when I was 8 lol). If everyone would pray for a quick recovery and the ability to put off surgery as long as possible, I would appreciate it. So sorry again for the late post!

The time for our children’s classroom parties is quickly approaching. These adorable marshmallow Valentine pops made by Natasha of Serenity You would be a cute addition to the party!

Debbee over at Debbee’s Buzz made (yes made!) these amazing dolls inspired by the characters of Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I’m amazed by them. You’ll want to go check out the post to see them in all their glory!

This heart shaped box was made from scratch by Gail from Purple Hues and Me. From scratch! Be sure to check out her tutorial to see how she did it!

MaryJo of Master”pieces” of My Life shared a post full of ideas to set beautiful tablescapes and other ideas for Valentine’s Day. I love the last one she shared with adorable chalkboard wood slices. We always have a special family dinner on Valentine’s Day, and that table would be perfect for it!

These cooking/baking themed Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) gifts for men and women are genius and so cute! Jenna of The Painted Apron also shared free printable recipe cards to place in the potholder with the other gifts, so be sure to head over to get yours and to see the other gift she made.

  1. Prayers and healing thoughts for your daughter’s speedy recovery! Thanks for featuring my valentine’s box! And thank you for hosting this fabulous party!

  2. Oh no! I hope your daughter is better. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Thanks for the Valentine’s day table love and hosting amidst everything you have going on. Stay well. XO- MaryJo

    1. Thank you MaryJo. She’s ok. It was her gallbladder (runs in the family because I ignored mine until it became gangrenous, yuck!). She got some pain meds until her appointment with the specialist on Monday. She has an interview tomorrow for her dream job at the airport where she can work at the ticket counter and move to be a flight attendant when she turns 21. She’s wanted to be a flight attendant since she was in middle school! We’re praying she’s able to perform well through the pain because rescheduling would not look good and probably wouldn’t do well on pain meds lol!

  3. Oh Niki, I’m so sorry, you must have been terrified! Prayers for you all! Thanks so much for the party and I’m thrilled you chose my Valentine Gifts as a feature, thank you!!! 💕

    1. Thank you for the prayers! You know when our kids get sick, we want to take it from them 10x over! She’s ok; it was her gallbladder. We’ll find out more on Monday.

  4. Niki,
Glad your daughter is better. I had several gall bladder attacks before scheduling elective surgery to have it removed…Mine was gangrenous which is actually quite common anymore and it tends to run in families…Every single one of my sister’s 5 kids have had theirs removed for the same reason…My Mother did too but she waited way too long and ended up with pancreatitis, became septic, went into septic shock and died 8 weeks later because the septic shock caused her systems to shut down….Don’t have her put it off too long…
Thanks so much for hosting this delightful party each and every week!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links and choosing Features!!! Thank You!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

    1. She will be at that doctor first thing Monday! The same thing happened to me with my gallbladder. It was gangrenous and it exploded when they grabbed it. So, I went in for a second surgery to retrieve more than 250 gallstones. I got pancreatitis from it, and of course became septic because of it all spilling into my abdomen. They were so worried because of my immune system. That was before they told me I wouldn’t live to see my son graduate, but they were still extremely worried. It was 4 weeks until our wedding! Luckily, I got to walk down the aisle on time, but I had some very fresh-looking scars in my bikini on the beaches lol! I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Being septic and having pancreatitis is beyond miserable!

  5. Good wishes to your daughter! Gallbladder issues run in our family, too. Thanks so much for hosting. I follow on Instagram and probably other places. 🙂

  6. Thank you for hosting Niki! I will keep your daughter in my prayers (thank the Lord for mom’s intuition!). Please keep us posted. Thanks again.

  7. Thank you so much for featuring my marshmallow pops. And sending love to you and your daughter x
