Every Monday Tammy from Patina and Paint and Terrie of Decorate and More with Tip and I share home decor for Easter / spring videos over on Facebook, so be sure to follow me over there using the link at the top of the post. Teresa from Through a Vintage Door, a home decor and DIY vlogger, also joins us occasionally for these videos. You can see my Easter entryway video here.

Entryway Floor Plan

Our home is quite cozy, which is homeowner code for small but quaint and lovely. I was very worried about the size of it when we were first purchasing it, but I’ve grown to love it because it’s ours. Since I am unable to work due to severe health issues, God has truly blessed us with being able to purchase this home with my husband’s income and what little I make for the blog (thanks to all of you wonderful readers and viewers!).

Due to the size, our front door opens directly into our living room which is an open floor plan into the kitchen. We don’t have a dining room, just a small space that I would assume others have been able to squeeze a kitchen table into, but I haven’t. I created my own small entryway space to add decor to for each season, this time of year Easter and spring. This consists of a thin bench to sit and put on shoes with a white wood shelf hung above it that has hooks for decor. This coat hanger shelf from Amazon is similar to mine without the chalkboard section. I think I’m going to order it.

Disclosure: I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and the Dollar Tree Affiliate Program, affiliate programs that allow me to link to the products that you can use to make this project quickly and easily. If you purchase any of these products I may receive a very small commission at no cost to you! That commission helps me continue to bring these great decor DIYs, free printables, and all of the other goodies on this site to you. Thanks so much for your support!

The entryway that I created sits just inside the front door to the right when you walk in. This gives my son a place to hang his bookbag and school badge and for him and my husband to take off their shoes when they walk in. Now on to the Easter and spring entryway decor!

Small Entryway Easter & Spring Decor

You may remember that I placed Scottish tartan plaid fabric on the chalkboard section of the white shelf back during Christmas. My husband got a little pull happy when removing it with me and took portions of the chalkboard off. To cover that up, I hung ivory fabric over it from old curtains that my beloved Bella chewed before she passed away. This gives us a way to remember her without seeing the holes in the curtains! I placed the rest of the fabric on two of the hooks.

In the shelf pockets, I added white real-touch tulips and my faux concrete styrofoam bunny (get the tutorial for that here). Then on the final two hooks I hung a wood bead rose wreath.

Below the shelf I put a striped throw blanket on the top of the bench. I have since changed it up a bit, and I will take some photos of the new blanket placement when I get some sunlight. On top I placed a “He is risen” throw pillow (cover inside a blank pillow) and a lighted birch tree. The tree originally came with bright Easter eggs, but I didn’t want that in my spring entryway, so I changed those out for wood eggs with vintage Easter scenes on them. The carrots are another DIY that I made with styrofoam Easter egg, and you can get that tutorial here.

The shelves of the entryway bench have some other spring decor, like the Easter egg carrots, pink and ombre vases, and a navy basket. I have changed that up a bit as well, so stay tuned for the update!

And that wraps up my early spring / Easter entryway decor!

That’s all folks! What do you think?!

I really love my Easter and spring small entryway decor, even if I do say so myself!
