My One Room at a Time master bedroom refresh is finished! Yesterday on Facebook we, the other bloggers that I’ve joined for this project and I, shared the final room video. Today I’m going to share the finished master bedroom with all of the modern farmhouse decor that I’ve added to the room.
This room has come along way since the first week that I shared my blank room and the inspiration for the room with you! You can check that full post out here.
Master Bedroom Dresser Decor
This week I finished up my dresser decor. You may remember that I had it mostly finished for week 4 and week 3.
To finish it up, I added an 11×14 print of a painting of Jesus walking with a lamb from behind which I framed in a matted 16×20 frame from Amazon and a 20″ farmhouse sign from Hobby Lobby.
I already had a wedding memory box, vase of eucalyptus, and candlestick holders on it. The faux candles came from a set of 10 that actually all come with batteries! They are amazing, long candles that work very well and look real. The large gold mirror replaced a shelf that I had recently hung above the dresser.
On the wall opposite the dresser, I finally hung the decorative wall art mirror that was part of the inspiration for the room.
Nightstand Decor
Next, I added decor to the master bedroom nightstands. I got most of the pieces at Hobby Lobby: farmhouse signs, decorative arches, and two pink globe candleholders that we put other things in (hubby’s change, buttons, etc.). Each nightstand also has a lamp (2 pack set) which I got from Amazon. They are beautiful, with flowers and leaves molded into them. That matches the wall art, rug, and one of the decorative pillows.
I still plan to get a different nightstand for my side of the bed. I’m probably going to go with the one that’s on hubby’s side. Amazon did refund my money for the one I just bought, so I’ll put the money toward that. They didn’t even want me to return the one that I found defective, so I’m so happy about that! They ALWAYS do the right thing when I’m not happy with a product, so that’s why I shop there so often.
Other Master Bedroom Decor
The final touches I added to the room were to change up the sheets to wheat-colored ones to match the new headboard reupholstery that you saw the tutorial for last week. Last week you saw my new duvet cover set. Then I added four decorative pillows: a light beige linen one, pink velvet with pompom trim (2 pack) one, a teal velvet pillow cover with a wave pattern (2 pack), and finally a 12×20 pink velvet flower petal pillow.
My husband fixed our closet door, and I changed out the doorknobs for the rectangular gold ones from Lowe’s that I shared last week.
In the last corner is my full-length gold mirror. It’s next to one of the room’s windows that I added the farmhouse curtains with flower tiebacks to in last week’s post.
That’s it for my master bedroom decor reveal!
I’m so happy with the way this room turned out. It feels so good to go to sleep in at night!
You might remember the way it looked before. I had removed all of the decor to start with a semi-empty room.
And now…
So much lighter and airier, right?! I just love it.
What room should I do on our next One Room at a Time? I’m thinking my kitchen or guest bathroom. Keep reading, and I’ll send you on to the other girls’ posts to see their room reveals!
