Happiness is Homemade #462

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! Mel from Decor Craft Design will be choosing our features for the month of December. Before we get to this week’s features, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators before you go! If you missed last week’s party, you can check it out here.

This material, in addition to everything else on this website, is copyrighted! If I find it on DIY News Hubb, I will add additional damages to the lawsuit that has been filed. For all of my blogger friends, I hope that you’ll go over to their website to check to see if they have stolen any of your content as well. It appears to be a site that just steals content from bloggers who put their extremely hard work and time into their blogs. They put your content on their site as their own but remove anything that would indicate it’s yours. They even stole one of my gift guides (the one below), leaving a blank page with headers and a few words, lol. What the heck?! That site then gets ad revenue from your content resulting in lost wages and other damages to you. I pray that they haven’t done to you what they have to me. If you find your content, I would suggest suing them as that is the only way it seems that I will get MY content removed for the site. We’ve sent messages demanding that it be removed without response. There is no email address or other contact information on the site, only a “contact us” page that we all have on our blogs. If anyone wants to out them on your site and/or social media that would be awesome. We need to let the world know they are stealing content from hard working ladies and gentlemen. I work 10-14 hours every single day on my blog. Stealing is disgusting!

It’s time to get those Valentine’s Day gifts purchased, and I’ve compiled a list of gift ideas for children of all ages!

This Week’s Features

Linda from A Labour of Life is still writing the following section and choosing this week’s features.

Once again, another week has come and gone. I am now almost at the end of January and still have not completed one craft yet, YIKES. On a positive note, I just purchased all the fixings for a Valentine’s Charcuterie so maybe I will share that this weekend lol.

As I said last week though, when my life gets overwhelming, I seek inspiration from all of you. Hoping to get some fun ideas this week with Happiness is Homemade 464.

Come dazzle us with what you are making, baking or creating this week.

fun gifts for the Valentines Chef

First up is a cool Valentine’s gift idea for the cook in your life. The Painted Apron tells us, “This month I’m making gifts for the cook or chef, his and hers, Valentine and Galentine! They consist of a pot holder filled with a kitchen utensil, a towel, chocolates, hand painted Valentine cards, a recipe and heart cookie cutters tied on with ribbons.”

Valentines Table Setting

Valentines Day Tablescape in pink

And surprising literally no-one who attends my blog hops, a Valentine’s table is my next feature. Anne’s Entitled Life has not only sage advice but also a little table inspiration for the Heart Day.

Instead of spending a lot of money on Valentine’s Day, why not celebrate at home with your special someone or special someones! The kids loved to be included in holidays. Another idea is to have invited a few couples over and have a Valentine’s Day dinner party.

If you are looking for table decoration ideas for a special Valentine Day dinner, lunch or party, check out this Valentine’s Day Tablescape idea.

Red Velvet Waffles

Our Tiny Nest was truly inspired this week. Taking a red velvet craving and turning it into a very tasty Valentine’s Day breakfast treat.  “With Valentine’s Day approaching, I was in the mood to bake something red velvet inspired. These red velvet waffles are so indulgent and are perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or anytime you just want to spoil yourself or someone you love. The best part, they are made with red velvet cake mix and topped with a homemade cream cheese whipped topping you can prepare ahead of time.”

Bake and Decorate

cookie decorating party

This next feature combines my love of baking cookies and entertaining/party Planning. How fun is a Valentines Day cookie decorating party. Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate walks us through all of the steps of the Party.

Dollar Tree Hearts

My final feature this week (and this month actually) is from Creatively Beth. She is sharing the most adorable buffalo plaid heart created with Dollar Tree supplies. How could I not feature that, right?! Pinning this not just to our Happiness is Homemade feature Board but also to my Dollar Tree Valentine’s Day Craft board. A double win from a pinning point of view.
