This Week on the Blog

Before we get to the party, let me share a few things that I’ve been working on this week. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s time to get your decor made and displayed in your home! In this tutorial I share with you how to make a beautiful Valentine’s Day tiered-tray decor set that can be made with Dollar Tree supplies. The tutorial is so easy to follow, and you’ll love the outcome! Plus in the post I shared free printables and SVGs that you can use on your pieces!

Next created two sets of free printable love notes that you can use for your little ones. Why not extend the day of love into half a month of love for your family? Download and print these notes, cut them apart, fill them out and place them somewhere for your kids to find during the day. One set is adorable gnomes and the other has cutesy animals. There are five pages with four notes on each page in both sets. Three pages have love note starters like, “I’m proud to be your mom because,” one page only has the gnome or animal, and one page is blank with only the frame. Remember to pin the page so you can use them again and again! Love notes as well as a set for his eyes only, if you know what I mean, will be coming soon!

This Week’s Features

At the beginning of the year, most of us set resolutions that they hope to do put in place to better our lives. One of mine was to lose a few pounds, and I’m probably not alone. Maria from Krafty Planner shared this workout tracker that you can download and print for free! This is the perfect log to help you keep up with your goal. When I see my accomplishments written down, I feel a great sense of, well, accomplishment. It helps me to keep going, so I for one will be using this tracker!

Ann from Apple Street Cottage share a tutorial for making this denim notepad holder. She placed magnets on the back to attach this to her refrigerator, which I love. It looks so much better than just having a Dollar Tree pad stuck up there. You can customize it in a million ways to fit your home. Head over and see how she did it!

Daniela of Sweetly Dreaming of the Past is a big fan of history and all things antique. She has had this antique headboard for years and finally got around to restoring it to its former glory. While many people change the look of a piece of furniture when they “upcycle” it, she wanted to return it to its original condition. I must say that she absolutely nailed it!

Linda, the lovely lady behind Paper Seedlings, shared with us a post full of beautiful drawings of various animals. She is so talented, and you have to go check out all of the drawings in the post since I can only share one. I love her drawing of a vulture. You’re probably thinking, “A vulture?” but yes, the colors are gorgeous! She’s also amazing at creating die-cut creations like cards. Head over to her site for tons of inspiration!

Isn’t this lemur adorable?!

Decorating after Christmas can sometimes be tough. A lot of people put away what could be winter decor with their Christmas decorations. I love this post by Debbie from Debbie Dabble, where she shared with us her Winter Woodland home decor. She uses snowflakes, birds, owls, and other winter woodsy items like pinecones. This post will give you some great ideas for items that you don’t have to put away just because the holiday season is over.

If you were featured, grab your “I was featured” button to display on your blog! Just right click on the image and choose “Save Image As,” then add it to your site. You can add a link back to the blog with the image if you’d like. I would really appreciate it. I’m trying to figure out how to create a code with the link embedded. My tries thus far have failed lol.
