Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! I’m so glad you’re here to link up, share, and be inspired by all of the great posts here! It’s November which means Bev from Eclectic Red Barn is still choosing the features. I do choose one of my own each week, so make sure to come by here to see if your post has been chosen! Before we get to the party, let me share what’s happened here on Life as a LEO Wife.
Easy DIY Tray- A Pottery Barn Dupe
Last Sunday was the first Sunday of the month which is when I link up with talented ladies from across the blogosphere for a DIY Blog Hop. This month’s feature was an easy DIY, so I made this super-duper easy DIY tray. Vignettes, especially in the holiday season, need height to actually look good. I wanted a tray from Pottery Barn, but that sucker was $69! So I made a version for $3 plus the cost of paint which I already had on hand. Check out and pin the tutorial so you can make your own.

DIY Christmas Ornaments
I am part of another blog hop, $10 on the 10th, and it just so happened that both hops happened in the same week! Phew! I’m glad that week is behind me. I love being a part of them though. This project needed to be Christmas ornaments made for under $10. I ended up making 3 ornaments using Dollar Tree tags for that price, including the cost of spray paint! I love these ornament. They are for my master bathroom. You might remember this 2′ Christmas “peace” sign I shared last week that matches.
Dollar Tree Christmas Mailbox
Yesterday I shared a tutorial for making a Dollar Tree Christmas mailbox to Santa. It’s so easy, and oh-so-cute! I plan on putting this in my son’s room to add to his Christmas decor. I use all my bright, fun red and green Christmas decorations in his room. When you make your mailbox, make sure you print out this free printable letter from Santa (3 options to choose from) with the matching random acts of kindness. Your Elf on the Shelf or Santa can deliver them directly to your mailbox every morning. It makes the Christmas season that much more magical!

On to the Link Party!
Happy Sunday. I hope that your weekend is going well. We are almost half way through November. I always wish that this time of the year that it would go slowly, but it never does. For now I am focusing on Thanksgiving and then I will begin to decorate for Christmas. Are you decorating for Christmas or do you wait until after Thanksgiving?
For the features this week, I chose a mixture of things. I hope you enjoy them.
This Spiral Apple Bread has me drooling. I think I could eat the whole thing. I can almost smell those apples. Stop by Trick and Treat to get the recipe and make one yourself.
Are these Turkey Napkins just so adorable? Our very own Linda, from a Labor of Love teaches you how to make these special napkins that you can use for your table. You will amaze everyone I am sure.

Niki’s Feature
I had to choose this adorable Scotty dog heating pad by Crafts a la Mode! It is adorable, and is the perfect little gift for those in your life that you want to give something to, but you can’t spend more than a few dollars on. She has sparked my imagination, and I’ll be coming up with some no-sew heating pads of my own, so make sure you follow me via email or social media!
