Welcome to Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party! I’m glad you’re here to share and be inspired by all of the wonderful posts this week. Before we get to the features and party, I’d like to share what’s been going on here on the blog over the last week. I’ve got a few more to share since Kimberly had a blog malfunction last week, so the party did not go on so to say.
This week’s projects
First I made this beautiful scroll wall hanging. I absolutely love the look of old scrolls, but the wall hangings that I’ve seen for sale have like straight wood pieces at the top and bottom which is not the true scroll look. The ones I saw on Pottery Barn and Etsy ranged from $50 to $90! You know that isn’t going to fly for me! So I made my Thanksgiving scroll for $3! Check out the tutorial to learn how to make your own, customized for any season or your regular home decor. I usually set up a mantle-like vignette in front of where I hung the scroll, and I needed some height in it. I wanted this Pottery Barn tray that was $69. Again- no! I made a dupe of that tray for, again, $3! Check out that tray tutorial here. You can see my copper tray in front of the scroll, holding my gratitude pumpkin.
It’s November which means it’s time to get you Christmas decor made! I made two Christmas projects last week, this 2′ “Peace” sign and these beautiful Christmas ornaments, both made with Dollar Tree items. Check out the tutorials and make sure to pin for when you’re ready to make them!
