Christmas Entryway Decor: Decorate with Us

Today we officially began decorating for Decorate with Us Christmas 2023! Terrie of Decorate and More with Tip and I are starting the season by sharing our entryway decor for Christmas! After the post I will also share links to the videos shared by our other friends at Patina and Paint, Through a Vintage Door, and Junk to Gems. Now let’s get started!

Chalkboard Shelf

I have a chalkboard shelf that I normally hang above a cedar chest turned bench for other seasons like in my fall entryway and Halloween entryway. I normally hang something like a wreath or garland on it, but for my Christmas entryway, I decided to place some Scottish tartan plaid fabric over it.

I simply cut it and hot glued it over the chalkboard portion.

The shelf has two sections in it. In them I placed a set of flocked red reindeer with gold glitter antlers.

Last year I made some flocked DIY Christmas wreaths. I made a new bow with cobalt velvet ribbon and plaid ribbon and replaced the ribbon that I put on it last season.

To the hangers of the chalkboard shelf, I hung the wreath with twinkle lights then I hung a yard of red Scottish tartan plaid fabric.

And- here is the finished shelf decor of my Christmas entryway!

Christmas Decor on the Entryway Bench

I bought a new entryway bench to use in the place of my grandmother’s cedar chest. I need to refinish the chest and fix one of the hinges. Plus, it’s a little too wide and short for the space. I got this white bench just until the one that I really want comes in. However, when I got this one put together, I really like it! It’s super affordable and perfect for small entryways!

To the top of the bench, I added a throw pillow with a red pillow cover with a large nutcracker pillow in front of it.

On the right side of the bench, I added a lightweight throw blanket. Then on top of that I placed a little Christmas arrangement and a pick of fir with red berries and a pinecone (which came from this beautiful set).

To the bottom shelf of the entryway bench, I placed two other Christmas picks, one similar to the first (from the same Amazon set) and the other a red glitter decor pick from this Amazon set.

Finally, to the middle shelf I added a few simple pieces, a ceramic Christmas tree, a bottle brush tree, and a wood present.

That completes my Christmas entryway decor! What do you think?!

I absolutely love the way it turned out! I think it’s my favorite so far.
