Welcome back, everyone, to the link party Happiness is Homemade! I am so glad you are joining us because each week we have bloggers stop by to read about and share crafts, DIYs, life tips and hacks, home decor ideas, recipes, and many other family friendly posts. You will want to dive in and try all of the amazing ideas brought to us every Sunday through Thursday!
Before we get to this week’s link party, I’d like to share our featured posts that were shared with us this past week. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. It is almost impossible to choose only five! Keep bringing the heat ladies (and gents)!
Beth from Whispers of the Heart shared a musical tablescape. She created this in memory of her loving mother who played the piano for 66 years before the Lord called her home! How I wish I had listened to both of my grandmothers and learned to play. Ya’ll, they both bought pianos for me to play, but alas, like Beth, my head was always stuck in a book. I have no idea where Beth comes up with these beautiful tablescapes, but you must check her out! This is stunning, and I love how the red pops on the black and white.
Next Candice at She’s Crafty Crafty showed us how to make a decorative banner flag using an old drop cloth. She has been doing craft fairs and needed a better way to display her store name. Her framed sign kept knocking her in the head, so I see her need to come up with a new display, and quick! There are so many ways to customize this for your needs. It will look great hanging on a wall. She has inspired me to try one of my own, which I will try to share with you this week. Thank you Candice!
Our very own Linda from Labour of Life shared with us these delectable looking milkshakes. Oh my gosh girl! I am trying to lose a bit of weight for swimsuit season, but out that goes! She was looking for ways to bring summer into her life a little faster, and decided what she needed was a little “Summer Lovin’ to have her a blast.” I know you see what she did there Sandy and Danny fans. This is just what she needed to giver her a little summer blast. You must try her milkshake recipe. Linda, if you don’t get a little freedom and warm weather up there, you can always hit the gulf coast with me. It’s eight am and about 85 degrees!
Now we have these adorable boho triangle coasters that were shared by Julie from Julie’s Creative Lifestyle. How great are these, lying next to a beautiful succulent? These would go perfect with some macrame hangings on the wall, a few hanging plants woven in macrame. The tassels bring it to another cuteness level! They are all the rage now, so I am definitely going to try to crochet a few myself. Julie was kind enough to share the crochet pattern with us. Thank you, you lovely lady!
I had to choose Debbee’s bee wreath and skep, shared from Debbee’s Buzz. My old high school and my children’s current school mascot is the yellow jacket. This would be perfect for our end of school parties and graduations, subbing black for blue and a honey bee to a jacket. In this post she gives us not one, not two, but three bee theme wreath instructions as well as bee themed party ideas- games, decor, & food. She has made this her annual “favorite things” party. Debbee you’ve basically given me a blueprint for a party for my little buzz-ee’s. I LOVE themed parties, which if you’ve been around Life as a LEO Wife for a bit, you’ve heard me say. Debbee pulled this together while participating in April’s Pinterest Blog Hop Challenge, which encourages you to use those pins, not just pin them.
Time for the link party!

i like the triangle coasters!!
Aren’t they great?! Thanks for visiting!
Niki, I am thrilled to have my bee theme wreaths featured, the weekend after World Bee Day too! That first bee theme party is what got me to start my blog and how I named It DebBEES Buzz. You and I are kindred spirits in loving theme parties. My sons were Blue Devils and the oildest went to Duke where he was a Blue Devil too. I also chaired the decorations for both their proms, the younger graduating in 2007 so it had a James Bond 007 theme. What a blast that was! Thanks so much for the feature and I loved reading about your family’s yellow jacket mascot.
A Bond theme would be amazing to direct! I would LOVE to see if you ever decide to share something you did for that party! Thank you for visiting every week!
