Happiness is Homemade Link Party #408

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry the post is a little late this morning. Linda from A Labour of Life (or hostess for this month) didn’t realize it was already January and her turn to write the code, but we’re here now! To be honest I might’ve forgotten as well if it was my turn to choose the main features, ha! Welcome to the first Happiness is Homemade Link Party of 2022! Can you believe it? I will be updating this post, but I wanted to get it out there right now. I will add my feature and edit anything that got lost in code translation, as I like to call it!

We are excited about a new year of sharing, linking, reading, pinning and inspiration. Linda from A Labour of Life is our hostess for the month of January, so let’s get started.

This Week’s Features

Welcome back– our first blog party of 2022. Gosh I am not sure where the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday I was trying to select the first features of 2021 and now it’s already a new year, and hopefully a lot better year than this past one!

It was an interesting week, a lot of self-reflection, bloggers sharing what they are working on and what their followers loved last year. I want to say it’s tough selecting only 4 posts to highlight. This is why I want to remind everyone to take a moment and search through the shared posts. This is a space to get inspired and help each other out.

A Tablescape

I am thinking it will not surprise you that I had to start with a tablescape. And this week’s feature caught my eye probably because my own New Year’s Eve table was also gold, black and white. Debbee’s Buzz is once again sharing an amazing table with unique dishes.

A Drink

Next up from Strength and Sunshine, a tasty drink. The easiest vegan white hot chocolate recipe contains just 3 ingredients and is sweet, creamy, and so cozy! This dairy-free white chocolate hot cocoa is gluten-free, allergy-free, and made in less than 10 minutes! It’s a delicious homemade beverage to warm you up on a cold winter day. Customize it with vegan whipped cream, marshmallows, or a sweet drizzle!

A Tasty Soup

Next up is a delicious bowl of broccoli soup whipped up by Ducks in a Row. I am on a soup kick lately and this one looks scrumptious. Quite possibly the fact that I just made the same soup this week had me really needing to share it.

A Knitting Pattern

Heart, Hearth, and Crafting shared a fun knitting pattern that will help you create a beautiful Mariners hat. In the post she shared the link to the free pattern. I am inspired to pick up my knitting needles and get crafty again!

Special Treat

As an added bonus I could not resist sharing this no bake peppermint cheesecake from Lou Lou Girls. It looks like mouthwatering awesomeness!

I think everyone has had a busy holiday season, so we didn’t have as many decor DIYs to choose from this week. You know I love a good inexpensive home decor project! While I didn’t find a DIY decor piece this week, I found this post by Lynne at Thrifting Wonderland. She shared some absolutely gorgeous silver trays and crystal glassware that she found at her local thrift store so that definitely hit the inexpensive spot for me! They cleaned up beautifully and were perfect for ringing in the new year! The pieces she found make me want to run out to the thrift store right now. Check out her site to see all of the wonderful things she finds and updates by thrifting! Oh, and get to crafting friends!

Don’t forget to come back and share Thursday through Sunday on Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party. I know I said last week that we would be back this past Thursday, but Michelle was having issues with her site and was unable to come through. It will be back this Thursday! I am thinking of starting another link party for all of us decor crafters, so let me know if you’d be interested in linking up with us! Also let me know if you’re missing You’re the Star Blog Hop. I stopped uploading it because it’s a month-long party, and I didn’t have many people linking up to it from my site.
