Happiness is Homemade Link Party #409

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade Link Party! I’m so glad that you’re back or you’re here for the first time to share and take in all of the great ideas linked to the party! Linda from A Labour of Life is still our hostess for the month of January. As always, I will add my feature at the end of the other features.

I have been incredibly sick for the past few weeks, so I don’t have any blog posts to share this week. I’m trying to catch up and get back to my regular Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday posting schedule. It’s looking like I may end up in the hospital this coming week. I have a doctor’s appointment on Thursday, and I know he is not going to like what he sees. At this point I know his thoughts lol. I would appreciate any and all prayers that you want to send my way. Lucky for me I have a surgical power port, so I won’t have to be stuck a million times and have my IV lines blow over and over. Silver lining ladies!

I (Linda) am so excited for a new year of sharing, linking, pinning, and inspiration! Last week’s party involved posts that had a lot of self-reflection among bloggers who shared what they are working on and what their followers loved last year. It’s tough to select only 4 posts to highlight, which is why I want to remind everyone to take a moment and search through the posts that are shared. Happiness is Homemade is a party where you can be inspired by great ideas and help each other out by visiting each other’s sites.

A New Year’s Eve Tablescape

It probably won’t surprise you, but I had to start the features with another tablescape. It caught my eye probably, well, because it’s a table lol. I do love tablescapes and pinning ideas for later. Today I am featuring Masterpieces of my Life and her NYE Scape. All the candles and crystal caught my attention, but honesty check out the mini lit cloches at each place. Simply stunning

A Delicious Tea

Next up from Peacock Ridge Farm, a delicious Friendship tea. It’s a sweet recipe passed down from her mother. Bringing back memories of childhood and easier times.

A Tasty Soup

Next up is 10 tasty soup recipes from the Lazy Gastronome. As I mentioned last week, I am on a soup kick lately, and these all look scrumptious.

A Crochet Pattern

Liz from Howling at the Moon shared a fun crochet pattern that shows you how to create a beautiful cat. I am inspired to pick up my knotting needles and get crafty again.

Special Treat

As an added bonus I could not resist sharing this Red Chicken Chili from Chasing My Life. It looks like mouthwatering awesomeness.

Many people use the New Year to set goals for themselves that they hope to obtain and/or maintain throughout the year. Journaling is a great way to write down those ideas, and it can be a resolution in itself. It can be cathartic and can help you realize how and why things affect you the way they do. Maria, from Krafty Planner, shared these wonderful journaling prompts as well as journaling pages in a post she shared at last week’s party. Head over and print them out for free!

Last week I also shared some free printables including a 2021 Year in Review and Resolutions for 2022 that can help you as well!

As you may have noticed, Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party has been missing for quite a while. I apologize profusely for that. The woman who owns the InLinkz code hasn’t been giving it to us (the co-hostesses). She is having major issues with her site, which each week she hopes to fix. So, we’ve thought each week that it would be coming back. I know it’s frustrating for you because it’s extremely embarrassing and frustrating for me to tell you it’s coming back this week, then it doesn’t. It’s not her fault, though having access to the InLinkz account would allow the co-hostesses to carry on the party while she’s fixing her website.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have an exciting announcement. I will be starting a new link party that I will from Thursday through Sunday night. That’s the same length of time that Traffic Jam Weekend is normally open. I believe that I will have it open Thursday morning instead of 5pm. I haven’t come up with a name yet, so any suggestions in the comments would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure that you don’t miss the new link party when it launches by following me via email. Enter your email address below and you’ll get an email any time I add a new post. You can also use the buttons in the sidebar to follow me on social media. I would greatly appreciate it!
