Happiness is Homemade #466

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! Mel from Decor Craft Design will be choosing our features for the month of December. Before we get to this week’s features, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators before you go! If you missed last week’s party, you can check it out here.

This material, in addition to everything else on this website, is copyrighted! If I find it on DIY News Hubb, I will add additional damages to the lawsuit that has been filed. For all of my blogger friends, I hope that you’ll go over to their website to check to see if they have stolen any of your content as well. It appears to be a site that just steals content from bloggers who put their extremely hard work and time into their blogs. They put your content on their site as their own but remove anything that would indicate it’s yours. They even stole one of my gift guides (the one below), leaving a blank page with headers and a few words, lol. What the heck?! That site then gets ad revenue from your content resulting in lost wages and other damages to you. I pray that they haven’t done to you what they have to me. If you find your content, I would suggest suing them as that is the only way it seems that I will get MY content removed for the site. We’ve sent messages demanding that it be removed without response. There is no email address or other contact information on the site, only a “contact us” page that we all have on our blogs. If anyone wants to out them on your site and/or social media that would be awesome. We need to let the world know they are stealing content from hard working ladies and gentlemen. I work 10-14 hours every single day on my blog. Stealing is disgusting!

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! This is Niki from over at Life as a LEO Wife, back again to choose the features for the month of February. I always have a difficult time choosing from all of the great posts that all of you share here on the party. I’m so glad that I get to choose during this month of love!

This Week’s Features

If you’re looking for inspiration for Valentine’s dinner this Wednesday, look no further. Ann from Ann’s Entitled Life set up this fabulous Valentine’s tablescape that you can tweak here and there to work for a romantic night in or for dinner with the family (which is what we do!).

Kristie over at Love My Little Cottage is a talented artist, and that shows through with her “mush love” flower pot painting! She said that’s she’s become obsessed with painting these cute little mushrooms and I can see why.

Radha over at Magical Ingredients shared the perfect Valentine’s breakfast recipe, strawberry ombre pancakes. I know what my husband will be making for us on Wednesday morning. I can’t make a pancake to save my life! They just burn and tear apart…. it’s not good at all!

While we’re rolling with the pink colors, I had to include this beautiful growth ruler made by Lee Ann over at Creative Moments. I made my son one when he was about 3 and he had to have Batman, which he’s outgrown. What I love about this one is that a little girl will never outgrow this!

Since I live down on the Gulf Coast where Mardi Gras is huge, I had to share these white chocolate pretzel rods made for the holiday by Premeditated Leftovers. This year it falls on my daughter’s birthday so it’s going to be a day of parades, parties, and fun, and these delicious treats will fit right in! Fun fact: Mardi Gras parades and fanfare did not start in New Orleans! It started in Mobile, Alabama, then moved west where I live, then on to New Orleans a bit later.

On to the Party!
