I made these gift tags to use on Valentine’s teachers gifts for my son. They can be used for anyone because I specifically didn’t add “you’re a great teacher” and instead used “you’re a sweet Valentine” for that reason. I created these printable gift tags that you can use on your last minute Valentine’s gift on regular 8.5×11 paper. It’s best to use cardstock, but regular paper will work in a pinch. Just download, print, and cut them out!

Remember that my logo will not print out on the downloaded version. I am in the process of suing a site that continually steals my posts, along with some other blogger’s.
Cut Gift Tag
Once you’ve printed the last minute Valentine’s gift tags, cut them out. I used a paper slicer which makes nice, clean cuts.

Once it’s cut, use a whole punch to punch a hole in the circle at the top of the Valentine’s gift tag. If you don’t have one, you can fold the paper in a bit and use scissors to cut one.
Attach the gift tag to your last minute Valentine’s gift.
Next, use a thin ribbon, twine, or yarn to tie the gift tag onto the oven mitt. Most oven mitts have a tab on the back that you can hang it from. I used a piece of yarn and tied my gift tag to that tab.

After that I decided that I wanted to cover the hole in the gift tag. I had a little bit of 5/8″ Valentine’s ribbon, so I made a small bow to glue over it.
It’s easy to make a perfect two-loop bow. First make a loop but be sure that you have an extra inch below it for a tail. Bring the ribbon across to form a second loop, then down an inch for the second tail. The photos below show it better than I can describe, but I filmed this entire process, so you can check out the video at the end of the post.

Use a pipe cleaner or floral wire to secure the center of the bow. You could also use yarn or another very thin ribbon to tie it off, but when I used yarn it just kept slipping undone. After that wrap yarn or ribbon around the center to cover the wire.

Add a dot of hot glue on that back of the bow and place it over the punched hole on the Valentine’s gift tag. Adding a separate bow looks better and neater than tying one as you tie the tag on the oven mitt.

Last Minute Valentine’s Teachers’ or Friends’ Gift Video Tutorial
Here’s a quick video of me putting together a second Valentine’s gift for my son’s teachers.
Your last minute Valentine’s Day gift is ready to give! Wasn’t that so easy, affordable, and super quick?!
I think these turned out to be so cute. No need to wrap them; they look great on their own!

You can choose to add cookie mix or not. They look cute and are useful to the recipient either way. They’re just a little sweeter with the cookies! Most teachers have a sweet-tooth (who can blame them?!), so I included a bag of Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies in these Valentine’s Day gifts.
