Happiness is Homemade #382

Hello there, HIH team,

You got a lot of rain where you live? Here in Rochester we have had a lot with thunder and lightning. My little dog, Bailey, has been so nervous. Thankfully tomorrow is supposed to be nice and I will take her for a walk. She’ll feel better.

Here is the party code for this weekend! Enjoy!

Welcome to our weekly Happiness is Homemade Link Party where bloggers come together to share their latest and their greatest posts with you. Every week you will discover a delightful assortment of creative ideas that you will love! At our party you will find the best recipes, crafts, do-it-yourself projects, home décor ideas, fashions and family fun right here.

Backyard Chicken Supplies for Beginners
In all my years on this earth, I never thought I would meet a live chicken. Really! Our family had the regular pets. Dogs, cats, hamsters – even a lizard. Now my daughter, her daughter, my daughter-in-law and my niece are all “backyard chicken moms!” They each have several live chickens and a huge ongoing supply of freshly laid eggs.
With this opportunity to get acquainted with chickens, I have become fascinated with the beauty of these creatures. Their plumage is exquisite and they are smart birds, too. If you have any interest in starting a mini-farm in your backyard, you will enjoy this “how to” post from a blog called An Off Grid Life entitled “Backyard Chicken Supplies for Beginners.
