Valentine’s Day Decorations for a Small Front Porch

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so it’s time to break out the decor for your front porch, stoop, or other outdoor areas to show some love to your neighbors, friends, and family! I’m out of the hospital and have a little more energy, so I was finally able to head outside and decorate my small front porch for Valentine’s Day. Let me show you the cute little front stoop I was able to put together for the holiday of love!

Valentine’s Day Wreath & Swag

On Wednesday I shared a super easy chunky yarn heart wreath that can be made for less than $10 and in under 30 minutes! I absolutely love the way it turned out, and the red, soft yarn looks amazing against our light turquoise front door. The wreath is topped with a khaki linen bow, which is made with the same ribbon that I used on the bow for the swag.

I began my Valentine’s Day front porch decorations by hanging the heart wreath on the front door.

Next, I made a bow (tutorial on that coming up soon!) and attached it to the top of a teardrop Valentine’s Day swag made with red hearts, red berries, and small pink berries that form small hearts that I got from Amazon. I slid the wire that was wrapped around the loop to hang it from down in order to hook it around the arm of my porch light.

Valentine’s Banners & Doormats

In front of the door, I placed a large black & white buffalo check rug with a “hello” doormat on top of it. To “love up” the doormat a bit, I placed a pink and red heart on top of it. How cute is this?!

On either side of the front door, I hung two light-up Valentine’s Day banners. They are so cute with my other V-Day lights at night!

Table & Chairs

Part of the front door & one V-Day banner, and V-Day porch chairs with red "love" pillows sitting in them & a 3-tier table next to it with a vase full of Valentine's heart branches on the top tier, a Valentine's truck on the 2nd, & l-o-v-e blocks on the bottom tier.

About 3′ from the door, we have a long front window. I placed two porch chairs and a plant stand between them that we use as a table to put some Valentine’s Day decorations on.

These Valentine’s Day pillow covers look so cute sitting in the porch chairs! (I used the red ones in outdoor throw pillows.)

The plant stand has 3 tiers, so on the top I placed a terracotta vase with Valentine’s branches that have red and pink berries as well as red and pink hearts. Then on the second and third tier I placed a V-Day wood decor set that is double-sided, with St. Patrick’s Day decor on the opposite side. There is a farmhouse truck saying “loads of love” on the middle shelf and l-o-v-e blocks on the bottom one.

Finally, in front of the chairs, I have a little bed of mulch with some greenery bushes. In front of that, I placed these cute little heart lights that are solar powered. Yes, solar powered! No need to run an extension cord or buy expensive batteries for them! Man, is that a HUGE plus!

Valentine’s Day Porch Decor at Night

There are 4 columns that hold up my porch. 3 of which can be seen well. I put up LED lights at Halloween that have many, many different light options on them. For Valentine’s Day I’m using red and white that match the white lights on the banners by the door. I’ve also changed them up a few times, using pink, all red (not a fan of that one), and purple.

Isn’t that adorable?!!

I just love how cute my Valentine’s Day front porch decor looks both during the day and at night!

    1. I love this! The door mat is my favourite. But it looks so amazing all light up at night

      1. Thank you! I love the buffalo check mat too! I didn’t have a Valentine’s door mat, so I used a “hello” mat & put a couple of hearts on it to make do. I’m glad that it turned out so cute!
