All you need for these keychains is faux leather, keyring, glue, & a Cricut or scissors.

First download my free keychain template (personal use only).

Next download my free template template (personal use only).

This free circle cut file can be downloaded to use around a name on the back of your faux leather photo keychain.

Don't have a Cricut? Download & print this keychain & bow design to cut by hand!

Upload the designs to Design Space & set them to the correct sizes specified in the full tutorial.

Set the dial to custom & choose the paper thin faux leather on the cut screen.

Place the faux leather facedown on a cutting mat. I used painter's tape to secure the edges.

Once it's cut, remove the faux leather from the mat.

Trace one of the keychain's circles on cardboard & cut it out.

Trace the circle on the photo you want to use on the keychain.

Cut it to fit.

Pull the circle through a keyring & place it in the center.

Glue the cardboard & photo to the bottom circle on the keychain.

Add glue to the top faux leather ring and align it on the bottom of the keychain.

If you have a gap on the edges like this, pinch them together tightly.

Now assemble the faux leather bow. You can use the vertical or horizontal tails (one will extend from the sides of the bow & the other from the bottom).

Add the leather strip around the center of the bow. So cute!

Finally you can customize the keychain with names, initials, or monograms with HTV!

That's it! Your DIY faux leather keychain is complete! It would make a great Mother's Day gift!
