You can add a child's handwriting or drawings on mugs, tumblers, shirts, tea towels, & more!

First, have your child write a note &/or draw a picture on regular paper.

Take  a picture with your phone & edit out extra white space.

I'm a Canva affiliate, so if you purchase the Pro version of the app I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! That keeps these tutorial's coming to you for free!

The Canva app will open, then click "use photo dimensions" or type in the size you want for your blank gift.

I like to switch to my computer here, but that's not required.

Click the up arrow in the right corner which is the share to button, then choose download.

Check the "transparent background" button then download.

Upload the child's drawing to Cricut Design Space, making sure to select "cut" image. You will see the full tutorial for how to do that in the full tutorial.

This is what you will have in Design Space.

Measure the item you're using. I used a tumbler. Set the size of the design to fit.

Cut the design on HTV vinyl (remember to mirror the design before the cut!).

Clean the surface with alcohol then place the design on it.

Put wax paper over the design & press an iron to it to transfer the image to the tumbler or other item.

Remove the transfer paper, leaving the HTV on your item & you're finished!

I added my son's handprint & a few hearts around the rest of the tumbler.

Your personalized item is complete! You can use this technique on mugs, t-shirts, bags, & more! Makes great gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, or just because!
