Happiness is Homemade #473

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! I’m choosing the features for the month of February. Before we get to this week’s features, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators before you go! Katie from My Messy Messy Mess will be choosing our features and writing the posts for the month of April.

Easter is one week away! You can create an adorable Easter tablescape that everyone will love for about $7 per place setting! That’s a bunny placemat, dinner plate, salad plate, cloth napkin, mini pail place card holder, and a place card, all for $7! Let me show you how!

A few years ago I made “hello spring” canvas blocks using pastel colors. This year my spring color palette is mostly neutral, so they didn’t work with the decor. I upcycled them to create wood blocks. Yep, the same canvas blocks turned into wood! Check out the tutorial to see how!

Free design! No Cricut needed!

I’ve got some more great spring, and Easter ideas upcoming, along with some free printables, so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!

This Week’s Features

Katie here from Love My Messy Messy Mess and it is my turn to host again!

April is that it’s my birthday month, so I am ready to highlight lots of my favorite things to share with you.

I am trying to be more conscientious about my spending, so I love scouring the internet for free printables to print out and display in any number of unused picture frames I have.  These free farmhouse Easter printables from Emily of Hunny I’m Home are cute and perfect for the holiday!

Spaceships and Laserbeams has done it again with another yummy Mommy drink – let’s try this drunk bunny cocktail for Easter this year!

So funny story – I just had my beginners concert this past Thursday night, and one of the tunes they played was Hot Cross Buns. So of course I had to pick this actual recipe for easy hot cross buns from Cindy’s On-Line Recipe Box to try out!

This idea is just plain clever! G-NO-MEss (lol get it?!?!?!) temporary tattoo Easter eggs is the way to go to avoid the disaster of spilled egg coloring dye!  Bravo to White House Crafts for the idea!
