Welcome friends. I’m so glad that you’re here for our St. Patrick’s Day Blog Hop hosted by Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz. Today I’m joining some very talented bloggers to bring you some Irish themed ideas and projects. If you’re coming over from Kara at Vintage Style Gal, weren’t her decorating ideas for the holiday fabulous? With St. Patrick’s Day less than a week away, if you’d still like to make a decoration, you’ll need a quick and easy project, like this monogram shamrock pillow!

This shamrock pillow is an easy Dollar Tree decoration that will take you less than five minutes to make. Can you believe that? Plus, it’s a no sew project. It seems to good to be true, but I promise it isn’t. Let me show you how it’s done!
St. Patrick’s Day shamrock pillow supplies:
- green pre-made pillow covers- I bought a set of 3 empty 16×16 pillow covers from Walmart for $6.
- galvanized metal monogram shamrock from Dollar Tree
- Beacon Quick Grip- E6000 will work, but I find that Quick Grip is so much better and dries faster.

Prep the Pillow Cover & Shamrock
First, iron the fold marks and any wrinkles out of the green pillowcase.

Remove the twine hanger from the shamrock. Then fold the pieces of metal that held it down. That way you won’t have the tabs sticking out when you place it on the pillow.

Assemble the Pillow
Lay the monogrammed shamrock face down on a flat surface. Squeeze Quick Grip around the shamrock. Make sure you pay careful attention to covering the outside edges well. Just don’t add too much so that it doesn’t squeeze out when you press it on the pillowcase.

Make sure the pillow cover is laying out flat, then carefully place the shamrock in the center. Press it down firmly for several minutes.

Allow it to dry, and that’s it!

Can you believe how easy this was?!
I placed my pillow in a basket next to my St. Patrick’s Day sign (made without a Cricut!), and I think it looks great. What do you think?

Hi Niki, I love your pillow. Thank you for the tip in using the Quick Grip, I have not heard of it before so I am happy to add something new to my stash. I have found some glue can be tricky, and it sounds like this one worked like a charm! Thank you for sharing your inspiration.
Thanks Cara! Yes, I love Quick Grip!! It dries so quickly. When you’re not using fabric, you add the glue, place the items together, then lift the one you’re gluing up 3 times. It makes the glue tacky & adheres within 2 minutes. I fell in love with it the first time I used it!
Wow, that was easy!! It’s really cute too Niki! I didn’t know you could buy pre-made pillow covers like that, great find!
I know! I snatched them up right when I saw them. They were in the fabric department hanging on a little thing attached to the side of the end cap. I haven’t seen new ones this season, but I’m on the lookout!
Great idea. Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. so fun hopping with you today.
