Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! I’ll be hosting and choosing the features of the party for the month of September. Before we get to this week’s features, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators and You’re the Star Blog Hop before you go! If you missed last week’s party, you can check it out here.

Trays and bowls in various shapes and sizes are huge in decor right now. Pottery Barn has a simple, yet lovely, tray that I wanted, but it was $59! Y’all know me! There’s no way I was paying that. I made this tray dupe with Dollar Tree items for $2!
Dollar Tree has signs that are cute but are usually cheap looking. I upcycled this fall farmhouse sign in about 20 minutes, and now it’s something I want to display in my house!

I’ve got some more great fall and Halloween decor upcoming, along with some free printables, so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!
This Week’s Features

This book page apple by Laura over at Me & My Inklings would be an adorable gift to give to your child’s teacher on the first day of school. We go back the first Thursday in August every year, so my son would be so jealous if he knew there were places that haven’t gone back yet! If you’re like us, head over and pin this idea for teacher’s appreciation day or to use next year.
Niky over at The House on Silverado shared her tips for creating a beautiful fall porch. You have to go check out her entire outdoor area, because the picture below doesn’t capture all of it. You’ll be inspired to create a lovely space of your own!
How cute is this fall book page leaf garland made by Mary Jo of Master”pieces” of My Life?! She created it during the 2020 school year when her daughter was having to do remote learning. We all remember what a nightmare that was! The garland was a great way to bring school and fall together. I love all of the different shapes of leaves in it!
Debbee of Debbee’s Buzz made this lovely fall twig wreath for her son’s new apartment. I love how unique the twig base is, and I’m going to be on the lookout for my own! Her son must’ve taken after his mom, because he has excellent taste in decor. You have to go check out his new penthouse. You would think it was styled by professionals!
Can you believe that there’s only 25 days left to get your Halloween decor made? This adorable witch gnome created by Lindsay at Artsy Fartsy Mama is on my list of must haves this year. He’ll be my first foray into gnome decor. Someone finally won me over!
