Last Thursday it was time for our monthly Creative Crafty Hop. I shared this cute fall doormat that you can make with a $1.25 mat from Dollar Tree! In the post I shared the free printable or cut file that you can use on your own welcome mat or other DIY decor.

Aren’t these rope pumpkins adorable?! They’re so easy to make and you don’t even need a base pumpkin, like a styrofoam one, to start out with. I came up with them for that reason exactly. You only need $1.25 rope and a scrap piece of cardboard! You can make them in any size you want!

This Week’s Features!

You may have already seen this decorative plate made by Julie at Sum of Their Stories since it’s been shared before. But I had to feature it, along with a hilarious coincidence.

As I was going through the posts on this week’s party, my husband came in from work with this dejected look on his face. Julie’s post was up on my screen as I asked him what was wrong. He said, “Rough day at work. Flippin’ idiots man! Dealing with them all. day. long!” Now we’re talking about detective talk here so he clearly didn’t say flippin’! I’ve tried to get him to stop cursing, and he’s good about it at home, but he says it becomes second nature because most of the people law enforcement deals with day in and out only respond to that kind of language. Obviously, he slipped today lol. Anyway- back to the story. I busted out laughing, and he was like, “What?!” I’m sure he thought I was laughing about his workday plight. I pointed to the screen and he started to read aloud the Pinterest image you see below, “Decorative Plate, da da, da… OH!” followed by a good belly laugh. What are the odds that I would be looking at this post at that moment. It gave him a good laugh right at the moment he needed it most.

You can use this tutorial on so many decor items. You don’t even need a cutting machine to do it. Just follow Julie’s instructions. Who knows? You might give someone a message they need at the perfect moment!

Meagan over at Decorative Inspirations shared some adorable fall trays that you can recreate for under $20. You could make a few for less with some items that you already have in your stash!

This peach themed tablescape created by Lori of Dining Delight is gorgeous. She set it up for a date night with the hubs, and you have to go check out how romantic it looked when the sun went down!

DeeDee over at Clover House made this vintage door turned headboard, and I think it is stunning! I love the garland that she laid over the top, but there are so many other ways to customize it to fit your decor tastes. Stenciling, paint patterns, lettering, etc.

Ever since I saw this bread box upcycle by Creative Moments, I have been on the lookout for my own to repurpose. Isn’t it adorable? Don’t worry, you don’t need to know how to paint because she used Dixie Belle transfers!
