Happiness is Homemade Link Party #436

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! For the month of July, Sinea from Ducks ‘n a Row will be choosing our features, but before we get there, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators before you go!

It was a week of Christmas in July here on the blog last week! Can you believe that Christmas is five months away already? Time to get those Christmas projects pinned to make this fall! These seashell Christmas trees are perfect to make for warm clients and for those living or celebrating the birth of Jesus on the water this year. There are two different versions of trees in the tutorial. I felt like they weren’t overtly Christmas-y, so I left them out as coastal summer decor.

My next Christmas project were these coastal Christmas wood utensils. I recently got an engraver pen, so I tried my hand at etching on of the wood spoons. I need a lot of practice with it before I’m proficient! In the tutorial I shared PNGs (used exactly like SVGs) and printables of the designs that you can download for free. I also show you how to use printable designs to customize home decor without a cutting machine. On these wood utensils I used three methods to customize them, HTV cut with my Cricut, printed the design and transferred it to a spatula and painted it, and etched the design on the spoon.

I’ve got some more great home decor posts, free printables, and outdoor projects upcoming, so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!
