Crafty Creators Link Party #26

Welcome to Crafty Creators Link Party, where you can share all of your wonderful crafts, DIYs, fashion, recipes, or any other thing that makes your heart happy! After you link up, I’d love it if you’d spread the word about the party! Remember, you must be following me on social media in order to be featured on next week’s party.

Don’t forget to link up on Happiness is Homemade, and let’s get to the posts that I shared over the last week.

Sunday was July 10th which meant it’s time for our monthly blog hop Under $10 on the 10th. The theme was Christmas in July, and I wanted to combine my summer home theme with it. Thus, my seashell Christmas trees were born! The post contains tutorials for two different types of trees, so head over and pin it to make this fall. Actually, I left mine out for summer decor, so you could add it to your beach/coastal decor!

The beginning of the month is full of blog hops for me, and I love them! Monday, I joined up with other bloggers for another Christmas in July hop. I recently ordered an etching pen, so I used it on wood utensils to make functional coastal Christmas decor for my kitchen. In the tutorial I also show you how to make your own decor without a cutting machine or an etcher (is that a word lol?). I also shared the designs I used on my utensils (sailboats, anchors, sand dollars, and “Seas & Greetings”) that you can download & print or use with a cutting machine for free!

I have some more free printables, home decor tutorials & other projects, so make sure you follow me on social media using the buttons in the sidebar. That way you don’t miss them! Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including new link parties, so you never forget to join us!

This Week’s Features!

Julie, from Sum of their Stories, has upcycled plastic food containers into pretty storage. You can make these containers to match your office or another room that you need something to store small supplies in. Grab some pretty scrapbook paper and Mod Podge and you’re all set for creating your own unique storage!

Gail, from Purple Hues and Me, has created an amazing looking tin can flowers wreath. She made it using aluminum soda cans! It’s a copycat version of an Anthropologie wreath she saw and, of course, it’s much less expensive than the original. Hop over to her blog to see how she made the flowers!

Since so many grocery stores require you to use your own bag these days, T’onna from Sew Crafty Crochet crocheted her own shopping bag to use on the go. The colors she chose to use are so pretty, aren’t they? She provides a link to the pattern, so if you start crocheting now you can make some for Christmas gifts!

Do you enjoy making your own greeting cards? Meg from I Teach Stamping, has handcrafted a sweet card using blending brushes. She used an umbrella die to create this pretty card to send to a friend. Visit her blog to watch the video so you can follow along to see how the card is made.

Lisa, from Condo Blues, teaches us how to switch out the printed portion of those inexpensive bamboo hand fans. Think of all the fabric color or print options you can change the look to. Drop by her blog to get all the details!
