Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! For the month of June, Mel from Decor Craft Design will be choosing our features, but before we get there, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators before you go!

I have seen wood buoys on Pinterest and Etsy, but I am not willing to put $80 to $100 in a decor item that will only sit out for two months of the year. So, my crafter’s brain went to work, and I came up with a way to use Dollar Tree items to make DIY nautical buoys.
Staying on my coastal kick, I decided to upcycle a rope tray and coasters I made last year. Lined with some beachy fabric, and out came a brand new rope tray set!
On my first thrift shop excursion in half a decade, I found some great wood items that had to go home with me. One of these items was an old magazine rack that reminded me of one that my grandparents had. So, it came home with me, and I upcycled it to use as kitchen storage and decor in one! In the post I do share the free SVG and PNG file that you can download for personal use.
I’ve got some more great home decor posts and some outdoor projects upcoming, so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!
