Crafty Creators Link Party #22

Welcome to Crafty Creators Link Party, where you can share all of your wonderful crafts, DIYs, fashion, recipes, or any other thing that makes your heart happy! After you link up, I’d love it if you’d spread the word about the party! Remember, you must be following me on social media in order to be featured on next week’s party.

Don’t forget to link up on Happiness is Homemade. If you miss it today (Thursday), come back and link up on Sunday. Remember that I add a new post on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in addition to the link parties on Thursday and Sunday, so there’s always new content for you to enjoy and share throughout the week! This week my regular Thursday will be posted on Friday instead since that is the 10th & it’ll be time for our monthly Under $10 on the 10th! Hope to see you back here tomorrow for that!

This Week on the Blog

Summer is here, which means it’s time that we moms begin to hear, “Mom, I’m bored!” There’s only so many times you can tell them to go read or clean something before they say, “I already did.” I created a free printable summer bucket list, and I challenge you to try to complete all 30 items on it! I’ll be posting photos on Instagram with #summerbucketlist as we tick off the items!

Sunday was our monthly DIY Blog Hop (and we’d love to have you join us every month, just contact me for info!) and our theme for June was outdoors. I absolutely love my new DIY tire planter that I created for that hop. It’s so, so easy and can be done in 3 easy steps! Check out my tutorial to learn how to make your own in less than an hour of hands-on time!

The few weeks of every month is full of blog hops for me, and I love it! Tuesday it was time for Sustainable Pinterest Challenge and the challenge for June was to turn a thrift store find into something we’d want to use. I found a beautiful, huge basket that looks like one you’d see Sleeping Beauty carrying through the forest gathering flowers and berries in. It was a bit rough looking, but I turned it into a beautiful farmhouse blanket basket to sit beside our new couches. I just love it!

Pinnable image of a thrift store blanket basket painted white with two navy and one white blanket inside.

I have some more free printables, home decor tutorials, & DIY Father’s Day gift ideas on the way, so make sure you follow me on social media using the buttons in the sidebar. That way you don’t miss them! Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including new link parties, so you never forget to join us!

This Week’s Features

Featured Bloggers: Follow me on FB & IG for more recognition!

If you are featured this week, let me know in the comments if you’re following me on Facebook and/or Instagram. Just a short “following” will do. If you are following me, I will schedule a post promoting your featured post across all of my social media accounts including FB, IG, Twitter, MeWe, etc. I will tag you in the post so that all of your followers can see how great your post was as well! The social media features happen throughout the weekend and just before next week’s party (usually on Tuesday and Wednesday nights). Last week I had two of the featured bloggers let me know they were following, so they were featured last night as a lead-up to this week’s party. I love showing y’all some love! If it’s been a while since you’ve been featured and you’re following, leave me a comment just in case. I’ve got a lot of craziness going on and a terrible short-term memory lol!

It’s time to drape your home in red, white, and blue! Carol from Blue Sky at Home has us covered with her post rounding up ten 4th of July ideas that are sure to please. From food to decor these ideas are perfectly patriotic! By the way, if you’re looking for patriotic decor that will fit in with your coastal farmhouse look, you cannot miss my post tomorrow morning on how to make a gorgeous coastal flag that you’ll want hanging all year!

Jenna over at The Painted Apron was down in my neck of the woods, the Gulf Coast, to celebrate Memorial Day, ringing in the official start to summer fun. Can you believe that I live on the water, but last year was the first year I used beachy summer decor?! Crazy, I know. Not to worry though. Jenna gave me lots of inspiration with her gorgeous summer tablescapes shared in her post! You’re bound to find one that fits your taste and decor!

Summer is time for lots of social gatherings, and I love showing up and out with a crafty dish or decor piece for the hostess. Lynne over at Thrifting Wonderland shared the cutest idea for creating a butterfly fruit tray that anyone can pull off! It’s so easy, and I think you could create any shape with this idea. She also shared a delicious butterfly pasta caprese recipe that is perfect for summer meals.

How absolutely perfect are these burlap bee containers made my Mary Jo over at Master”pieces” of My Life?! Her tutorial walks you through how to make vases of your own with a honeycomb and bee theme. It’s so easy and wracks up major summer style points in your home. While you’re visiting her, you should definitely check out her post on burlap container gardening as well.

Ann over at Apple Street Cottage shared a tutorial for creating a ribbon spool holder from a yard sale find. This is a project that I will be doing in the future because I have way too much ribbon just shoved in boxes throughout my craft room. How great would it be to be able to find the right ribbon you want to use in a split second?! Don’t worry about not being able to find a wood piece at a garage sale; they’re easily found in craft stores, Walmart, or home improvement stores.

If your post was featured, grab your “I was featured” button to display on your blog! Just click on the download button, then upload and add it to your site. You can add a link back to the blog on the image if you’d like. I would really appreciate it.
