This Week on the Blog

This week I joined with some lovely ladies for our monthly Creative Craft Hop. I shared a tutorial for making an adorable DIY wood lantern used with Dollar Tree supplies. This is the perfect lantern to be used indoors or out because you don’t have to worry about breaking glass since it’s all wood!

Hurricane season is upon us again, so I remade a home inventory list that you can print for free to use in disaster preparation. The post also contains tips for how to be a prepared homeowner for break-ins as well as disasters. With a LEO husband, I’ve learned just how many people aren’t prepared for loss of property after a burglary. Did you know you need to have all of the serial numbers of your electronics if you would like to get them back if they’re stolen? Check out the post and print that list to ensure the safety of your property.

Summer is here! At least summer break is for our kids. I like to try to give my son’s teachers gifts throughout the year, but they have to be affordable. This end of the year beach towel gift set fit the bill, coming in at about $6-7. In the post I shared three free printable gift tags that you can use to customize your cute gifts. You can also gift these as sweet little gifts for your kiddos to start their summer off right!

I have some more free printables, home decor tutorials, & DIY Father’s Day gift ideas on the way, so make sure you follow me on social media using the buttons in the sidebar. That way you don’t miss them! Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including new link parties, so you never forget to join us!

The social media features happen throughout the weekend and just before next week’s party (usually on Tuesday and Wednesday nights). Last week I had two of the featured bloggers let me know they were following, so they were featured last night as a lead-up to this week’s party. I love showing y’all some love! If it’s been a while since you’ve been featured and you’re following, leave me a comment just in case. I’ve got a lot of craziness going on and a terrible short-term memory lol!

Summer is time for us to get outdoors and enjoy the weather, and this flower pot and seed wreath is perfect to hang on your backdoor. Wouldn’t it be great to enjoy on your patio with your flowers and garden around you?

Outdoor furniture can cost you thousands. Why not give a thrift store find an outdoor makeover like Donna of An Organized Season did? You have to see the way this gorgeous set looked before! Follow her tutorial to save yourself a ton and still have a fabulous patio set!
