Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! We have a new co-hostess on the team, Allyson from Southern Sunflowers! She will continue choosing our features for the month of May. Before we get to this week’s features, let’s check out what’s been going on here on the blog over the past few days. Be sure to head over and link up on Crafty Creators before you go!
This past week was extremely busy with packing, moving, and unpacking an entire household, plus creating and posting projects for two blog hops! First, I teamed up with some lovely ladies for a Dollar Store Craft Challenge. I made a hand-woven rope wreath that I think you will love! It’s so airy and perfect for farmhouse style decor!
Tuesday was May 10, so it was time for our Under $10 on the 10th blog hop. This month’s theme was outdoors, so I made this adorable Dollar Tree plant stand. You can make this for about $7, so be sure to head over and pin or share that tutorial so you can make your own!
I’ve got some more great home decor posts, DIY Father’s Day gifts and end of the year teacher’s gift ideas with free printables upcoming, so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!

THIS WEEK’S FEATURES!
Memorial Day is May 30th and Beth, from Creatively Beth, shares with us free Memorial Day printables you and your kids can color together. She also provides lots of interesting Memorial Day history and facts we can teach our kids. Let’s get educated while having fun!
ABC’s of Literacy, gives us a head start to prepare a summer-themed activity for kids ~ a watermelon alphabet sensory bin. These watermelon alphabet seeds are just the cutest way for preschoolers and kindergarteners to learn their abc’s and identify lowercase and capital letters. Visit their blog to get your free printables!
Kelli, of 3 Boys and a Dog, gives us the best cow activity ideas and a free printable letter worksheet for preschoolers to learn the letter “C.” She also shares additional links to many more worksheets and craft ideas. I’m up for a fun trip to see some cows!
I’m lovin’ this adorable bee and flower sensory bin that Cheryl, from Sew Can Do, created as a preschooler activity to learn about bees and their purpose. Buzz over to her blog to find out the supplies she used to fill the bin!
Are your kids Star War fans? Maria, from Krafty Planner, is sharing Star Wars free printables to use as wall art in your child’s bedroom, you can pin them to a bulletin board, or frame and gift to a friend who is also a fan.
