Happiness is Homemade #422

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade! We’re so glad you’re here to share and explore with us. I’m Niki from Life as a LEO Wife, and I’ll be choosing the features for the month of April. As always, I had a hard time choosing only five posts to highlight for this party! Before we get to this week’s features, let’s take a look at what’s been going on here on the blog.

First, I joined up with some lovely ladies for our monthly DIY Blog Hop. This month’s theme was “spring,” so I shared a tutorial for making an adorable burlap carrot wreath. I love how it turned out!

Next, I joined another blog hop called Sustainable Pinterest Challenge. Again the theme was spring, so I made a braided chunky yarn wreath that you can use year-round. All you need to do is change the bow and embellishments for a new look for every season!

Since I had quite a bit of chunky yarn left after making the braided wreath, I decided to make a chunky yarn bunny wreath. It’s made with Dollar Tree supplies (other than the yarn), so it’s budget friendly as well as adorable!

I’ve got some more great spring decor posts and some home decor printables upcoming, so make sure you don’t miss them by following me on social media and email. Enter your email address below to get an email when I add a new post, including link parties so you never forget to link up!

This Week’s Features

Judy from Life in Kentucky created this beautiful “feather in your nest” tablescape. I love the color scheme, the nests, and the adorable plates. I guess I should say I love it all!

The talent behind Pillar Box Blue, Claire, always has the cutest denim DIYs, and these upcycled denim bunnies are no exception! Check out her tutorial to make your own.

Fresh Vintage by Lisa S. shared a simple and easy tutorial for folding handkerchief bunnies. She’s included lots of pictures, so truly anyone can make them! Napkins could be used instead of hankies for an Easter tablescape.

Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to throw a garden party. In her post, Meagan, of Decorative Inspirations, shares some great ideas and DIYs to throw a budget-friendly party.

Easter is all about the resurrection of Jesus, and these free printable scriptures made to go inside plastic Easter eggs are the perfect way to keep that the center of attention. These would be great for church Easter egg hunts.
