Happiness is Homemade Link Party #402

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade Link Party! I am so glad you’re here to share and be inspired with us. Bev from Eclectic Red Barn is still choosing our features for the month of November. I will, as usual, choose one of my own as well following hers. I am so honored to have been one of her features this week with my DIY Christmas mailbox to Santa! Before we get to those, let me share what’s happened here on the blog over the last week.

I made two adorable farmhouse Christmas decor tutorials this week. Dollar Tree had the cutest Christmas patter fabric available, and I chose a black with red farmhouse truck print and a black and white buffalo check print for my projects. I upcycled a snowman to make an adorable JOY sign. The garland on the snowman looked so cheap so I removed and recovered it with the fabric. Then I made a set of no sew fabric Christmas trees. They are just darling. On Etsy they sell for $39, but you can make ten or more with $2 in fabric!

Dollar Tree snowman hanger upcycled into a beautiful farmhouse style Christmas JOY sign.
Four fabric Christmas trees in front of a three-tier JOY sign.

Yesterday I shared a tutorial for making a DIY Christmas ornament wreath. I made mine with a thick wire hanger and three packs of ornaments from Dollar Tree. It goes with my collection of blush pink, white, and gold Christmas decor. You might remember the 2′ “Peace” sign and the DIY metal tag ornaments that I share over the past few weeks. I love the way this wreath turned out, and I’m going to put up my Christmas decor in that bathroom this week. I just can’t wait to see it all up.

Now on to the Party!

Happy Sunday. I hope that your weekend has been awesome so far. It is the beginning of Thanksgiving week here in the U.S. I love this holiday when we get to be with family and friends and reflect on how grateful and blessed we are.

I also want to say thank you to all of you who support these parties by stopping by each week, sharing your amazing posts, and take the time to comment. Thank You!

For the features this week, I choose a mixture of posts for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I hope you enjoy them.

This week’s features:

If you love cookies or you are doing a cookie exchange, then you need to try some of these Holiday Cookie Recipes from our very own Sinea. They all look so yummy.

Thanksgiving would not be the same without cranberry sauce and this one can be made in a crock pot. This would make a wonderful side dish. You will want to get this recipe for Homemade Cranberry Sauce.

Nothing better than a wonderful punch to share together on Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving Punch is filled with cranberries, apples and cinnamon. All of my favorite things. I know everyone will enjoy this.

How beautiful will these look on your Christmas table? These Upcycled Cotton Reel Table Place Setting easy to create and you can customize them your way.

How precious is this Dollar Tree Christmas Mailbox? Not only does Niki provide a complete tutorial on how to make one for yourself, but there is a printable letter to Santa. This would be so perfect for the kids.

Niki’s Feature

I am in love with this scroll ornament idea by Lisa at Fresh Vintage by Lisa S. I love that it holds a scripture. You may remember my large scroll wall hanging tutorial. I just couldn’t resist these adorable ornaments. I try to put as much Jesus as I can in my Christmas, and these ornaments are perfect. She even includes the printable for you to use! You can choose to add another sentiment though, like a Christmas song or poem.
