Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party #297

Welcome to Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party! I’m so glad to have you here to find and give inspiration by sharing your family friendly posts. Before we get to this week’s features and the party, I’d like to share what’s happening on this blog over the past week.

I joined a group of wonderful bloggers for a DIY blog hop sharing our before and after projects. I shared my tutorial on how to reverse canvases to make beautiful framed art and signs with basic canvases. Did you know that those plain, stretched canvases that you buy from hobby and dollar stores have wood frames under the canvas fabric? The budget packs from Michael’s where you get 8 to 10 canvases in a pack actually have elaborate frames underneath! Even the canvases from Dollar Tree have wood frames under there. In my post I share with you how to reverse the canvas step by step. Don’t miss the free printable for Halloween that I linked to in that post!

Have you ever realized how expensive candles are? I wanted to make two Halloween candle centerpieces to go on two side tables flanking a bookcase in my dining room. When I priced the sizes that I’d need, I would’ve spent over $75 in just candles. Since this would be for Halloween, the candles would be black, so I wouldn’t have been able to use them throughout the year. That price was just not feasible in today’s economic climate. Plus I’m a miser. I wracked my brain and came up with faux candle centerpieces that would only cost me $5 for both! Check out the tutorial and make sure you pin it for when you’re ready to make your own!

Today I will be sharing a tutorial for a gorgeous late fall pumpkin wreath. Coming up soon is an elegant Thanksgiving hoop wreath. Sunday is October 10th, and I will be joining a blog hop called $10 on the 10th, where we create a tutorial for a project that can be created for under $10. You don’t want to miss those posts! It was not possible to show up in a therapist’s office. But since journaling is therapy, as stated in this book that we edited (, with the ability to get lower depression scores in three (3) days, every business owner (actually everyone) should make journaling a habit.”
