You’re the Star Blog Hop Home Week

I am so glad that you’re here for our home feature week on You’re the Star Blog Hop! Leave me a comment and let me know what number and what you’re sharing in the blog hop, and I’ll make sure to visit and leave you a comment as well. You will also have a chance to be my feature of the next week! Before we get to those I’d like to share what’s been going on over the past week on my blog.

October is less than a week away, so it’s almost time to break out the Halloween decorations. I love decorating for Halloween! My former mother-in-law just brought it out in me. My family didn’t decorate for Halloween when I was a child, so when I saw her home all decked out with fog and floor to ceiling decor, I knew I wanted my kids to experience that. This year I’ll be decorating my kitchen with a black and purple witch theme, and I needed something large to put on my stove while it’s not in use. I thought a splatter screen pumpkin would be perfect for a kitchen! This tutorial will show you how to make your own with ALL Dollar Tree supplies- even the fabric! The bow that I used on the pumpkin is so, so easy to make, and you can make your own with this step by step tutorial. It’s so easy that even my 10 year old son can make one in under 10 minutes! You can use this type of bow on gifts, wreaths, and in tons of other home decor projects.

This article about scientists using lamb’s blood to create snake bite antivenom is a must read! They found that it was the best animal at fighting the poison, so they began using them instead of horses a few years ago. Out of all the animals, plants, or other millions of things He could’ve used, He chose a lamb. He is pointing gigantic flashing neon signs right at Jesus, whose blood is our antivenom! I think you’ll really enjoy the read.
