Happiness is Homemade #392

I am so glad that you are here with us for the Happiness is Homemade link party! Share your wonderful family-friendly posts and find other amazing and inspirational posts while you’re here. Also make sure to link up on our other link parties, You’re the Star Blog Hop and Traffic Jam Weekend. Before we get to the features and this week’s party, I’d like to share a few of my posts from this past week.

You’ve seen all of the beautiful fall decor that I’ve been making, and this week I added a few more pieces to the collection. I made these fall felt leaf wreaths to hang from the candle sconces in my dining room. I absolutely love them! They are pretty easy to make, and so, so budget-friendly. I hate to use the word cheap, because that implies that they don’t look great, and they absolutely do! It cost me less than $3 to make two of them! Check out the tutorial, and make sure to pin it for when you’re ready to make it. If you love fall and other seasonal decor, stick around after the party to see all of the tutorials and ideas available!

If you’ve been around Life as a LEO Wife for any length of time you know that I love upcycling or using Dollar Tree items. At the beginning of August they put out their pumpkin and witch hat wreath forms. That was the first time I’ve seen the witch hats, so I picked up three of them. I finally got around to using them, and I made this spiral deco mesh witch hat wreath. I really think it’s so cute! Make sure you pin that tutorial too! Make sure you follow me on social media (you can use the buttons in the sidebar) because I have more tutorials coming for those wreath forms! Another great way to ensure you don’t miss a thing is to enter your email address below. You’ll get an email when I add a new post so you can stay up to date!

Find out when new tutorials, free printables & SVGs, and other great posts are added via email!

On to the Happiness is Homemade Link Party!

I’m Katie back with you for my 2nd week of hosting for the month of September.
We have a decent size pumpkin patch planted on our property with about 10 varieties of pumpkins, and I am DYING to pick them and get them organized on the front porch.  Our varieties include Jack-O-Lanterns and Connecticut fields. It’s so exciting to watch them grow!
Let’s get on to my chosen features from last week’s party, shall we?

This Week’s Features

Garlic Shrimp Pizza

I like keeping some quick and easy dinner recipes in my arsenal for late work days.  My husband and I would really like this – so fancy with shrimp on a pizza.  Check out this recipe for Garlic Shrimp Pizza from Homemade On A Weeknight.

I love decorating the house with all sorts of different pumpkins for the fall holidays.  All sorts of textures, colors and sizes are my jam.  These cute Chunky Yarn Pumpkins from Dollar Tree Pumpkins are perfect to add to my collection AND a fun craft as well.
Traditionally I always make fresh pasta sauce in the late summer/fall to freeze for the winter.  This looks like a great recipe for Sauce with Garden Tomatoes from The Apple Street Cottage blog.  Nothing beats fresh sauce!
Snickerdoodle cookies are one of our household favorites, so of course I want to try this Snickerdoodle Crazy Cake from the Lou Lou Girls – a perfect fall dessert!
*BONUS FEATURE*
Another fun crafting idea – didn’t this DIY Candy Corn Trick or Treat Sign turn out so cute?  Another cute project using Dollar Tree items just in time for Halloween!

Niki’s Feature

I love this tutorial for a fall harvest tree! Cindy from My Home of All Seasons did a great job on this. You know me I love making fall decor. You can completely customize this adorable little tree to fit your home decor this fall. Check out the tutorial, because she does a great job of walking you through how to make it, step by step.
