Happiness is Homemade Link Party#389

Welcome to our weekly Happiness is Homemade 390 Link Party where bloggers come together to share their latest and their greatest posts with you. Every week you will discover a delightful assortment of creative ideas that you will love! At our party you will find the best recipes, crafts, do-it-yourself projects, home décor ideas, fashions and family fun. Before we get to this week’s features, I’d like to share what’s been happening this week on my blog.

This Week’s Tutorials

Preparations for early fall decorating are in full-swing here in the Kline residence! I made several fall decor pieces over the past week, and I shared those tutorials with you. You all know how much I love upcycling Dollar Tree decor into beautiful (or cute) pieces that you’d actually want in your home. These reversible Dollar Tree pumpkins are so cute. You can make them for fall & turn the for Halloween, which I did, or for fall & then for Thanksgiving on the other side. Even early fall and late fall would be cute.

Last year I gave you several tutorials for using the pumpkin wreath forms from Dollar Tree, one of which was burlap. This year I decided to give you an easy to follow tutorial for making a beautiful burlap wreath. Mine is for fall, but you can use this tutorial year round. I found a beautiful farmhouse truck ribbon at Michael’s, and I knew I wanted it on my wreath. I absolutely love it! Here is the tutorial for making this bow to use on wreaths, gifts, decor, tree toppers, swags, and more. Both of those tutorials are easy to follow with lots of pictures to help along the way.

On To the Party!

Hey all, It’s Linda from A Labour of Life and it’s my Turn to browse through and pick my favourites. August is all about end of summer fun, back to school planning and yes summer relaxation.

Thank you so much for coming by this week for our party. We can hardly wait to find out what you have come by to share with us this week but, first, let’s take a look at our features from last week’s party!

Fun Features this week

My first feature will surprise no one, lol. Yep a fun tablescape from The Little Yellow Corner Store, a new to me blog. I could not pass this Hot Fudge Sundae Table by. Imagine a tablescape dedicated to ice cream and all in bright colors. It was just too cute to scroll past.

Keeping with the burst of color theme, how tasty does this Berry Cobbler from Lou Lou Girls look? . This campfire berry cobbler is a delicious and easy dessert that comes together quickly without a mixer or any special equipment. It’s a delicious addition to any meal, especially when served with a big scoop of ice cream!

I had to share- Howling at the Moon is traveling- but she created this beautiful little arrangement for her daughters Birthday. Bertie Bear’s Birthday, crochet style.

Sticking to my apparent non-theme, next up is a delicious Grilled Salmon Recipe from Comfort Spring. “Summertime is the perfect time for a grilled dinner. Start with a quick garlic herb marinade of salmon filets and then grill for 10 minutes. A great side dish is grilled asparagus.”

Carole, one of our former hosts caught my eye with Three Fun and Easy Fall Decor Ideas. Check out Bluesky at home to catch three fun DIY’s. These fall DIY decorating projects are inexpensive, easy, and very attractive. What fall decorations are we going to make?

Special Feature

Well this is my final week and there were so many amazing tablescapes. And, well, I am hooked on tables. So special shoutout to all of you who have fed my table desire, there were applescapes, and back to school scapes, transition scapes and even a sunflower scape. While I would love to feature them all, I can encourage you to head back to last weeks party and check them all out. For today though, a special feature of something creative but also an event. A date night party on the beach, featuring a smore bar and a beautiful setting.

Niki’s Feature

Since I’ve been getting my home ready to decorate for early fall, I stuck with that theme and chose this adorable and very budget-friendly wreath made by Debbee over on Debbee’s Buzz. Isn’t it so cute?! This wreath is perfect to use in your home along with my burlap wreath with the farmhouse ribbon. Take the fall theme throughout your home and hang these wreaths throughout your home, not just on your front door. I always hang seasonal or holiday wreaths on my gallery walls. Debbee gives you a great tutorial in this post. Can you believe a lot of these things came from Dollar Tree? You know that’s a woman after my own heart!
