Traffic Jam Weekend

Welcome to Traffic Jam Weekend! I’m so glad you either found us or are back with us after our summer hiatus! Before we get into the features from our party back in late May, I’d like to share a post of mine from the last week.

I took down my red, white, and blue porch decor and needed something still summery to put up in its place. I live on the Gulf Coast so it’s going to be hot here for months. Who am I kidding? It’s going to be hot until January, ha! I decided to go with a beachy theme with teal and coral throughout. I spent under $20 for everything that I bought. That included an outdoor rug from Michael’s! Check out the post here, which includes all of the DIY tutorials.

Michelle chose Easy DIY Skirt Refashion from Keeping It Real. “Given the huge negative impact the fashion industry has on the planet, extending the life is a garment is an excellent idea. And it’s pretty too!”

Niki chose Blueberry Bliss Summer Tablescape from Dining Delight. “This is the perfect summer tablescape. I love how the galvanized metal, blueberries, and faux greenery blend together. The warm tone of the wood from the table, wood slice, and candleholders really pops against all of the cool tones.”

The post with the most views was How to Make a Patriotic Wreath in 10 Minutes from My Home of All Seasons.

  2. Thanks so much for including my wreath in your features! Niki, I absolutely love your porch! The teal accents are so pretty. It’s been hot here too but we are having a cool and rainy weekend right now. Kind of feels like fall right now! Thanks again and have a great week ahead!
