Happiness is Homemade

Before we get to our weekly features, I’d like to share a few of my posts from this week with you. April is the month for the bloggers’ A to Z Challenge. I will be posting every day this month for the challenge. Each day I will be giving you a tutorial for every letter in the alphabet. April 1 A, April 2 B, etc. I didn’t find out about the challenge until April 6, so I started with the letter E.

Friday I made a nautical beach wreath for the letter N. Pottery Barn had a beautiful beach wreath for $108, but I can’t justify spending that much on a wreath when I need to feed my family. I made one myself for under $15! I love it!

Beach wreath, grapevine form, robin's egg blue satin ribbon wound around, navy satin ribbon at the top with a small seashell in the middle of the bow. Galvanized silver word "home" in the middle of the wreath.Another project of mine last week was nautical mirrors. I’m going with a pretty neutral palette for the summer with a few pops of navy & robin’s egg blue. I saw a picture on Pinterest of a set of two nautical mirrors for $119. Can’t do that either lol. I made two for $5! I like the way those turned out as well! Stick around after the link party to see my other summer DIYs.
