What Would You Do With Six Hours till the Rapture?

What would you do with six hours til the rapture? graphic

This post is a little bit different from my others. So come on in brothers and sisters in Christ, we have something extremely important to discuss. A few times in the past few months, I’ve felt God laying something specific on my heart and mind. And when I say a few times, I mean few times a week.

As children of God we can see what is going on around us. I have believed all of my life that the Lord would be taking us home soon. “Soon” in Biblical relation, could be, I thought, maybe in my grandchildren or my great grandchildren’s lifetimes. I believe now, with all that I am, that I will see the rapture, or as Paul calls it in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, the catching up. He says, in the ESV translation, “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of a command, with a voice of an archangel, and with the the sound of the trumpet of God, And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would watch our free, God loving nation go up in smoke. That people would be happy to live in a “Socialist” nation. We are burning our nation to the ground and bragging about it. We were forced to stay in our homes, close businesses for months, churches still can’t function normally, and now we are forced to wear a specific item over our faces, a mask. I’m not saying those of us who have compromised immune systems shouldn’t wear them to go out into public, just that all of us are mandated to wear them to do anything we need to do outside of our homes. Throughout my youth and now as an adult, I and the people around me have believed that the United States is the great eagle helping Israel that is spoken of in the book of Revelation . Is that it, or did John not see the US in his vision at all because we destroy our beautiful country? I’m just giving you something to ponder. We know that in the end of the age that good will be called evil and evil will be called good. What is happening right now? The enemy has everyone so busy with all of the terrible things going on that we sometimes can’t see what is right in front of their faces. That’s because he knows he only has a short time left.

Now, I want you and I to think about the rapture. What if God allowed Jesus to tell you that He will step out in that sky and the dead will rise first then you and me will meet him in the air? What if He told you, you had 6 hours until the trumpet blows? What would you do? Where would you go? Who would you talk to?

It’s terrifying isn’t it? Not for you and me, but for our loved ones who don’t know Jesus as their Savior. I wouldn’t go around closing all my bank accounts, getting my affairs in order like I was going to die. I won’t care about dancing the night away, hopping on a plane to Hawaii, cross items off a bucket list, or some other human dream. No, this is something so much bigger. This is something that is globally impactful. It will affect every single person that lives on this earth.

Let me tell you what I would do. It’s almost shameful, though, because these are the things I should be doing already. The first thing I would do is go to wherever my daughter is. I would beg her with all my heart, with all my strength, to come to know Jesus as her Savior. She’s a teenager and Satan has perfected the way to get to them in this age. Hopefully everyone around us at that time will come to know Jesus, because of how vehemently I would be pleading for her to open her heart, praying for Jesus to circumcise her heart. We talk to her about it a lot already, but I that with the sincerity in which I would speak to her would make her realize the gravity of the situation. Make her know it’s now or never.

Next, I would head out to find any of my friends and family who I know aren’t saved. The good part is that most of my immediate family are saved, except my daughter. I have relatives that I love like they are immediate family. I would plead with them for as long as I could to accept Jesus. I couldn’t stay for hours, I wouldn’t have that long.

I would witness to every single person I came into contact with. Who cares if it makes them or me uncomfortable? I won’t be here long enough for it to matter. Then I’d go live on Facebook or YouTube and beg and plead for people to get their hearts right because they don’t have much time. Would I be embarrassed? No way. I’d be leaving this place soon. Being liked or cool won’t matter anymore. I’d tell the world, or at least the portion of the world I could reach, that I and many others are going to be missing soon. Or not alive, I’m not sure if God’s going to take our bodies’ with us or leave them here, I don’t care which. If they wouldn’t accept Him then, maybe they could take the back way into heaven by not taking the mark or being martyred. I’d warn them that the Restrainer (2 Thessalonians 2:6) is about to be taken away and the world will be a much darker place than it already is. Maybe the people who’ve been witnessed to will remember what what they heard and figure out what’s happened.

I want to take a moment here to speak to anyone who doesn’t know Jesus as their Savior yet. There is no sin too great or too small to keep the love of God from you. We are all just sinners saved by the grace of God. You don’t have to fix yourself up before you commit to Him. Don’t feel like being a Christian is boring. It’s not. It’s amazing when you see God working in your life and other’s. You can’t work your way to heaven. There’s nothing you can do to get through those pearly gates, other than realize you’re a sinner (we all are) and that you need salvation. Tell God that you have sinned, ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into your heart and life. You’ll be surprised by the explosion of love that you feel. Please don’t put it off until later. There are so many things coming to pass that must happen before saved Christians are taken home. You can read through the prophesies in the Bible and realize there has never been another time in this world that all that is written has happened. It’s happening now. Make a move to God, you’ll never regret it. Jesus said that He will come like a thief in the night meaning you won’t have warning and time to pray right as it happens.

Church, Bride of Christ, we need to wake up and realize we don’t have forever on this earth. Let’s witness until we’re gone! We need to strengthen and love one another as much as we can. Since not all churches are able to be fully opened, let’s work from our homes, at work, or wherever we possibly can to spread the Gospel of the Lord! I’ll keep moving forward as a sinner saved by grace, and you can come along.

Feel free to share this to everyone you think could use it. Much love in Christ to all of my brothers and sisters!

  3. Only the Father knows the day and time He will command His Son to return. But these days we are living should surely draw us closer to the Lord. We should be speaking words of encouragement, hope, and salvation to those around us. May we be in prayer for our nation, our world, our churches, and our families.
